Celebrating the Flavors of Summer at BRGR.CO + BIG REVEAL!

One of the things I love most about BRGR.CO is how dynamic the menu is. Every time you visit their outlets in either Beirut Souks or ABC Achrafieh, you’re bound to find a special showcasing the flavors of the season.

I’d had my eye on the Santana Chicken Burger ever since I caught glimpse of it on Instagram in March. A thick breaded chicken breast breaded and battered to a crisp is flanked with avocado mash, diced tomatoes and corn. Chipotle dressing gushes at the sides. BRGR.CO’s iconic bun, free of seeds and fuss, battles to contain all that action, easily overshadowed by the heft of the poulet patty.

A few weeks ago, I finally had the opportunity to sink my canines into that bunned beauty, and it was glorious. You know that taste of summer, distinctively warm and comforting with a burst of juicy freshness? That’s the Santana burger (19,000 LL), and thanks to popular demand, it’s being engraved in stone to the yearlong menu.

BRGR.CO may be about the namesake edible, but the dining experience is incomplete without those signature hollow fries. If you can will yourself to look past the Truffle Parmesan variety (18,500 LL), the Messy Chili Cheese (14,000 LL) are superb, balancing the perfect blend of minced meat and melted cheese.

The Vegetable Crisps (11,000 LL) are equally guilt-inducing, breaded and fried as they are, but surely there’s some nutritional value in those zucchini and eggplant slices? Regardless, they’re delicious dipped in the buttermilk sauce, though I’d love to see them paired with dill tzatziki.

Dessert is decadent at BRGR.CO, and I've warmed up to the cheesecake pudding (12,500 LL) layered inside a glass sundae. Dense custard, crushed Graham crackers, berry coulis…there’s something ethereally magic about that trio, no matter how you stack it. I’d only beef up the biscuit layer and cut back on the custard, but that’s strictly preferential.

Behold that pool of berry coulis!

And now for the big reveal...

In exactly ten days, BRGR.CO will be ushering in the birth of sister concept DELI.CO, a few steps down from its Beirut Souks stronghold and neighbor to second family member PZZA.CO. The new shop has smart industrial décor and straddles delicatessen and café.

The highlight of the food offering will be the famous Montreal smoked meat sandwich, in addition to an array of freshly-brewed coffee beverages, kettle chips, and sky-high diner cakes. I’m super pumped about its debut.

But in the meantime, I think I’ll go back and celebrate sunshine and warmth with that ever-so-crisp Santana. Bring on the goodness.

    1. My strategy with burgers is to have them for lunch (sans frites) and forego dinner altogether. They're really not as sinful as they're repped up to be!
